Game Day Snacks You Can Make in Your Smoker
Smoked Potato Chips, Smoked Snack Mix, and Bacon Wrapped Shrimp. Three quick and easy Smoked Snacks that you can make in your smoker.
Check out my full smoked appetizer playlist:
For the smoked potato chips, grab a bag of your favorite chips (I like Lays the best for this) and spread them out on a baking sheet. Sprinkle them with a low salt barbecue rub and put them in the smoker on the lowest setting for about 45 minutes. Take them out and let them cool down, and then return them to the bag until you are ready for them.
For the smoked party mix, I used 1 1/2 cups of Cheez-Its, 1 cup of mini pretzels, 1 cup of cashews, 1 cup of wheat Chex, and 1 cup of rice Chex. Mix all of them together and drizzle with 1/2 stick melted butter, 2 tablespoons of hot sauce, and one tablespoon of Worsteshire sauce. Season them with low salt barbeque rub.
Put the mix into the smoker on the lowest setting for 2 hours and mix them around every 20 minutes until they are done.
For the bacon wrapped shrimp, try to find the largest uncooked shrimp you can. Peel them and clean them. Season the shrimp with your barbeque rub and wrap each one in 1/2 slice of bacon. The shrimp will shrink while cooking so don’t worry if the whole shrimp isn’t wrapped in bacon.
Put them in the smoker at 275 degrees F for 45 minutes or until the shrimp is cooked through and the bacon is crispy.
